The assassin tank does a good bit of DPS anyway, so burning stuff down usually isn't an issue. I guess up til you get Ashara you could probably use Andronikus. You might have a bit of downtime between fights but you should be able to wade through 3-4 packs before you need to take a proper breather.

Animation - Depends on the spec you play, for tanking, Assassin looks way cooler IMO, for DPS, Vengeance looks cool, but Deception throws lightning around constantly, which is pretty cool too. Lore - Not really sure how to answer that, I would say more people you see in SWTOR fit into Juggs more so than Assassins.
