Situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise at the beach end of Cavill Avenue, it was developed by media entrepreneur Reginald (Reg) Roy Grundy AC OBE (1923-2016).

Grundys no longer exists at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. The building is still there as are the amusement machines. It is now called "Time Zone". August 4, 2016 · Does anyone remember Grundy's at Surfers Paradise on the second floor of the Paradise Centre, Cavill Mall? - opened 1981 and closed down circa 1993. Their TV advertisement featured John Farnham singing a very catchy jingle.
